Rainbow is a modern version of the Wizard of Oz, starring Dora Postigo. The streaming service does not list Rainbow as a movie but a “trip”. Dora searches for her mother and on the way comes across a lion in her room, a woman who makes her very rich and famous and she ends up at a bizarre party.

Girasoles silvestres – In search of happiness
Wildflowers October 9 Eye Film Museum 7 pm
The spirited 22-year-old Julia falls head over heels in love with Óscar. They get into an intense relationship, full of ups and downs. The more time she spends with the troubled young man, the more often Julia wonders if the relationship is stable enough to be viable. Does Óscar’s erratic behavior qualify him as a life partner and male role model for her children? After a violent incident, Julia decides to leave Óscar and look for a better future. This seventh feature by Jaime Rosales explores the thorny path of love and is an ode to the zest for life and the development of a woman who already has two children at a young age. Julia (Anna Castillo) is not easy to catch: the search for true love can sometimes be an ordeal, but that is no reason to give up.
The Catalan director Jaime Rosales (1970, Barcelona) previously gained fame with Las horas del día (2003) and Petra (2018). About his latest film he says: “I wanted a film to be uplifting, despite dramatic moments. I want to show the viewer the story of a strong woman who emerges from surviving in difficult circumstances, and who leaves the viewer with a sense of hope.”
