SYTRAL, the Metropolis and the City of Lyon announce local public meetings on the project to calm the Presqu’île
The Metropolis of Lyon, the City of Lyon and SYTRAL Mobilités, announce in a joint press release two public meetings as part of the project to calm the Presqu’île. “These discussion times will be held in the presence of elected officials from the Métropole de Lyon and the City of Lyon and will more particularly concern certain sectors of the 1uh and 2e borough. »
The City and Metropolis of Lyon had presented the main lines of the calming project to the press on June 8th. This big file is at the top of the pile of elected Lyon environmentalists who have allocated a budget of 16 million euros. The objectives of the project are to free public space for all users, to adapt the city to global warming by revegetating and regenerating pollution, but also to improve the living environment of the inhabitants and the people who work there.
The president of the Metropolis of Lyon, Bruno Bernard and the mayor of Lyon, Grégory Doucet, had announced that a major consultation, concerning this project, would begin on June 20. Many Grands Lyonnais have already taken part” in this consultation entitled “Presqu’île à vivre, Let’s imagine the Presqu’île of tomorrow”.
Two consultations will be organized at the beginning of October
In a joint press release published on September 30, Sytral, the Metropolis and the City of Lyon indicate that “In order to continue public consultation around this major project, local public meetings will be held in October in the 1uh and the 2e borough “. “The discussions will focus in particular on the first possible achievements from 2023 and 2024 before a reorganization of the bus network in 2025.”

Lyon 1uh : Tuesday October 4 or Monday October 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ((2, place Sathonay-Lyon 1er) for sectors including rue du Garet, rue du Bât d’Argent, Montée Saint-Sébastien, Platière sector, Meissonier, rue Longue, rue de la Martinière and place Rambaud.
Lyon 2e : Monday, October 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lamartine school (2, rue Jean Fabre) and the Wednesday, October 12, a permanence will be set up from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. during the Place Carnot market.
