With the opening of the gorilla pavilion, Prague is changing the timetables to the zoo. A new line 234 will be created
Spine line 112 will run only to the main entrance.
From today, new timetables apply for traveling by bus to the zoo in Prague. The organizer of the Prague Integrated Transport Ropid made changes to them at the same time as today’s opening of the new gorilla pavilion.
Some of the changes are only cosmetic: The Zoologická zahrada stop is now called the Prague-Troja Zoo. Sklenářka was renamed Zoo Praha-Sklenářka. The main change is the new service concept, when backbone line 112 will go from Nádraží Holešovice only to the Zoo Praha-Troja stop, selected connections will not go to Podhoří. Only articulated buses will be used on the route.
The new line 234 will go to the Podhoří stop on the route Nádraží Holešovice – Trojský most Parking – Zoo Prague-Troja – Zoo Prague-Sklenářka – Podhoří. The line will offer a direct connection to the northern entrance to the zoo and will also replace the existing shuttle line from the parking lot at the Troja bridge. The Parkoviště Trojský most stop will always be served only in the direction of the flow of visitors, i.e. in the morning in the direction of the zoo, in the afternoon and in the evening in the opposite direction.
Due to the impossibility of meeting buses in Trojská Street in the section between the Zoo Praha-Troja and Botanicka zahrada stops, and with regard to the expansion of bus service between Nádraží Holešovice and Podhorí in this section, lines 235 and 236 will no longer go to the main entrance to the Zoo Praha-Troja stop. Passengers traveling from Bohnice to the zoo will be able to use the northern entrance at the Troja Botanic Garden stop, or the new entrance to the gorilla pavilion on Sklenářka. Especially in the direction from Bohnice to Troja, guaranteed transfers to line 234 will also be established during the day.
