In the Prague 2 district, the victorious Spolu signed a coalition agreement with ANO. ODS, TOP 09 and ANO will thus repeat the same cooperation as four years ago, Alexandra Udženija should reappear in the role of mayor. According to the opposition Pirates, which Spolu rejected, he relies on the SPD’s tacit support.
Alexandra Udženija (ODS), Jan Kolář (ANO) and Michal Zuna (TOP 09) signed the coalition agreement on Tuesday, September 27. “I am convinced that continuity in the management of the municipal district is the best decision and will allow our district to successfully continue with ongoing projects, such as the revitalization of parks, the construction of a New Home for the elderly with special services and others,” she wrote on her Facebook Uzheniya. They made the same arrangement four years ago.
In the 35-member council, the three parties won a narrow majority of 18 votes.
“Prioritizing cooperation with populists and extremists over a transparent and strong coalition is a clear message from the ODS and TOP 09 to the voters of Prague 2,” the Pirates from Prague 2 repeated on their Facebook page. According to them, Udženija and Zuna rejected a coalition with the Pirates, Prague 2 themselves and STAN, which would have created a joint 29 mandates for them in the district council.
“Rather than cooperating with Pirates, Praha 2 sebe and the STAN movement, it is obviously better for them to continue holding with ANO and rely on the silent support of the extremist SPD,” it is written on the pirate Facebook. They also reminded that the current Ministry of Defense and former mayor of Prague 2 Jana Černochová (ODS) was second in the list of ODS candidates.
According to ČTK, Černochová will remain in the management of the town hall, she is an unvacated councilor for education, which means that she does not take money for her position in the management of the town hall.
“Competitive question at the end. If the ODS led by Petr Fiala belongs to the west, where is the town hall led by Alexandra Udženija headed?” the Pirates finished.
Together, in the municipal elections in Prague 2, they won 14 mandates with 35.6 percent of the vote, the second Prague 2 with 19.2 percent, 7 mandates, as well as the third Pirates with 18.5 percent. ANO was fourth with 11.4 percent and four mandates, SPD fifth with 5.6 percent and two mandates, and STAN sixth, with five percent of the vote bringing one mandate.
