The Baltic States are preparing for Russia to cut off their electricity
Reconnection to the European network about 12 hours
The Baltic countries are ready to promptly switch to the European power grid in the event of the termination of the transit of electricity from Russia. As the head of the Estonian network operator Taavi Veskimägi announced, this will inevitably take no more than 12 hours. Disconnection from the Russian network should be planned at the end of 2025, however, Veskimägi believes that Russia can publicize the Baltic countries from its network earlier, transfer TASS.
This risk could be especially high if the Kaliningrad region can rely on high speeds, because then it will not threaten to disconnect its Baltic countries from its network.
On Thursday, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas pays for the population of the country to solve the problem with electricity supply in case of consumption of Russia, Latvia and Lithuania from their power grid.
After that, Estonia began buy power generators, water, dry food, pet food, personal hygiene items, flashlights and batteries.
Managers say the prime minister is a great salesperson.
