Hannover 96 has a luxury problem |
Three-way battle for the derby storm
17 Budenhut Hannover 96 already done after nine matchdays. For comparison: Last season there were just seven.
Only Paderborn (25) and Lautern (18) are even more accurate than 96. And because things are going so well up front, Stefan Leitl (45), the coach, likes to describe it as a “luxury problem”.
Top scorer Havard Nielsen (29th/five goals this season) started at the top in Sandhausen (3:2) but is a tenth behind the top two against HSV (September 30th). But who storms in front of it?
Three-way battle for the derby storm
Cedric Teuchert (25) is in Sandhausen and has been in great form for weeks. Like Maxi Beier (19), he has already scored three times. Beier was just a joker in the end, pushed back into the team.
And then there is Nicolo Tresoldi (18), who was last on the bench after four starts. In the 2nd league he is still goalless. In the test against Bundesliga club Werder Bremen (2:0) but he snapped twice.
He just shows up at the fighting tournament Hollywood superstar flattens everyone!

Leitl: “I’m happy for him. We talk to each other, I try to explain certain things to him. There are always times when someone needs a break. It’s important to be fresh for a game like this at Bundesliga level. He repays it with goals.”
Teuchert, Beier, Tresoldi – Leitl is spoiled for choice.
