The driver of a Honda motorcycle (1987) was killed in a collision between a car and a motorcycle near Všechrom in the Prague East district on Sunday, September 4. The driver of the car (1954) escaped unhurt from the accident.

“We sent a ground crew and a helicopter to the scene, and the operator immediately arrived with the people who were there, a telephone assistant for immediate resuscitation,” said Monika Nováková, spokesperson for the Central Bohemian Health Service, adding that rescuers and a doctor also continued resuscitation after arriving at the scene of the accident . “Unfortunately, despite the efforts of all the men, he succumbed to his injuries,” she added.

According to Central Bohemian police spokesperson Vlasta Suchánková, the incident took place at three in the afternoon on road II/107 between Všechromy and Říčany. She confirmed that police officers from Sázava and first-line patrols from Benešov were the first to arrive at the scene. The police officers provided first aid and tried to revive him using the automated external defibrillator that they carry in the car for such cases.
“The device evaluated the situation in such a way that it did not give a shock, and unfortunately the paramedics had to declare the death of the motorcycle driver,” explained the police spokeswoman.
A collision between a car and a motorcycle closed the road to all traffic for more than an hour. The police diverted the traffic along a detour route.
“The accident and its causes as well as the actions of the individual participants before the collision are still under investigation,” added Vlasta Suchánková.
