The Thai authorities have begun not to extend the period of visa-free observation for Russian tourists in the country from 30 to 45 days, follows from the messages on the website of the State Tourism Administration under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
Extension of the period for stimulating the influx of foreign tourists during the tourist season, which lasts in the country from October to March. The Tourism Authority has gradually increased the COVID-19 Control Center (CCSA) to increase the period of visa-free observation in the country for citizens from those countries to consider permission to enter Thailand for 30 days without permits. Russia is included in the list of such countries, however, it was not included in the list of states whose citizens extended the period of visa-free observation to 45 days.
At the same time, the Thai authorities have also introduced relief for tourists who receive a Thai visual on arrival. These are citizens of Bhutan, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Malta, Mexico and some other states. Now they can spend in the country not 15, but 30 days without a visa.
The relaxations will be valid during the tourist season from October 1 to March 31.
