Rümlang: Open air from the point of view of the cantonal police
In the night from August 25th to 26th, the Zurich cantonal police were reported to various thefts from the snatch. On 26.8. Investigators arrested a 22-year-old and a 24-year-old Italian who had snatched necklaces from open-air visitors. The two men were brought to the responsible public prosecutor’s office and it WILL be checked whether the alleged thieves are responsible for other crimes.
About half a dozen people were expelled from the open-air site because of their behavior. During the day of the event, around a dozen noise complaints from the surrounding communities were received by the operations center of the Zurich cantonal police.
Over the past two nights, three people went to the paramedics at the festival site and reported being pricked by needles. The police investigation into this is still ongoing.
From the point of view of the Zurich cantonal police, the five-day event was quiet and peaceful. The partnership-based cooperation with the organiser, the other blue light organisations, transport companies and the municipalities has proven itself and has led to the smooth running of the major event.
