Parkouros run through a spectacular video at the Innovation Center of the University of Debrecen
Debrecen – BORD Építész Stúdió Kft., which designed the Innovation Center of the University of Debrecen, asked the athletes to make a special video.
The foundations of the building were prepared by Dryvit Profi Kft. in Debrecen, after which Hunép, who won the work in the public procurement, was able to start construction in the UD Science, Technology and Innovation Park in Vezér Street. The company undertakes the construction of the center for HUF 3 billion 770 million net.
The plans for the Innovation Center of the University of Debrecen were prepared by Péter Bordás’ company, BORD Építész Stúdió Kft., which also designed the Nagyerdei Stadium.
The company has now published a spectacular video in which parkours run through the building. We have already seen a similar video of the Aquaticum Debrecen Beach, also designed by BORD.
The three-story Innovation Center with a floor area of more than five thousand square meters is suitable for incubation activities, serves as an educational and practical base, provides public services for employees, and will provide space for innovation processes related to project management and operation.
The Hungarian state provided HUF 3 billion 883 million for the construction of the Innovation Center.
BORD Architects Studio staff previously wrote about the design process as follows:
When we heard the innovation center, a well-organized shelf came to mind. Just like the ones you find in a garage next to your car. A huge shelf, with many boxes on it, each one hiding something of interest, inventions, amazing instruments. This is how we imagined what an innovation center could be like, where different start-up companies move around this special shelf at a crazy pace. When a person is looking for something, he opens a box and finds countless miracles inside. This childhood experience, “THE SHELF IN THE GARAGE”, started the first conceptual thoughts, which is a well-organized building with boxes that hide interesting secrets.
In accordance with the functional needs, the vision of our shelf has evolved further. Its internal transport system, the network of corridors, stairs and public spaces is like a complex map of a small town. After all, in the shelf system, among the countless boxes, people have to get from one place to another. Our goal is for the researchers and developers working in the building to inevitably meet and exchange information. This way, the contents of the boxes may also change, one is transferred to the other, and we can re-sort them. You need a place where you can sort through your thoughts and gather inspiration. “PIACTÉR” was formulated in the inventive position of the shelf in the middle.
Ideas acquired on the “marketplace” can be sorted upwards or downwards. It’s like the old math problem, the number machine, in which if you throw in a number, the machine will perform an operation on it, and then the result will appear at the bottom. What goes from the upper community slot to the lower section of the shelf therefore passes through the forum, i.e. the marketplace, through transformation, and comes into contact with people and levels. While in the case of mathematical tasks, the formula found in the robot or machine can be precisely calculated, which transforms the internal numbers, in the case of a start-up or an innovation project, the final result is unknown. It is impossible to calculate what effect the people there have on the forum, what kind of thoughts are mixed up. It is a system that cannot and should not be put in order and the formula cannot and should not be deciphered. The contents of the boxes are exchanged, they rearrange their contents on their own accord.
When the architectural idea is formed into a mass, it does not want to be more than a simple shelf, it remains what it was meant to be. A place that stores epoch-making ideas, with the “mathematical formula hiding machine” in the middle, which as a public space constantly reorganizes and makes the flow of ideas endless.
