Thunderstorms and rain will hit the Czechia from Thursday to Sunday. The cooling should come on Saturday, when most of the area will have rain and showers. Temperatures will drop to twenty degrees. After the weekend, we will return to tropical temperatures. In addition, the ČHMÚ warned on its website that the metropolis could be surprised by hail up to three centimeters in size.
According to meteorologists, very strong thunderstorms are expected with repeated totals of around 70 millimeters, hail up to three centimeters and wind gusts of around 70 km/h.
“Property damage, power outages, and transportation problems can be expected. It is necessary to pay attention to safety, especially with regard to the danger of being struck by lightning and injury from falling and flying objects, possibly even hail. It is necessary to secure windows, doors, greenhouses, loose objects,” he states website CHMÚ
In addition, ČD press spokesman Lukáš Kubát informed the editors: “Due to the ČHMÚ warning against very strong storms, torrential rain, hail and gusts of wind, which is valid from this afternoon, we ask passengers to follow the current traffic information in the hours when planning their journey on the railroad.”
The warnings, as the models also show, are in effect until Saturday morning. Even if it is enough, nothing worse should come from the sky.
