Report from the match FK Teplice – Bohemians Prague 1905: statistics, report
In the last round, Kangaroos were very close to a perfect start to the league season, but in the second half against Baník, their unexpected collapse came and with it also the first loss of points. However, Květ was the one the guests could definitely rely on, who has scored in both opening games so far. On the other hand, the home side also had a similar talisman. Jakub Urbanec scored three times in the first rounds, but it was only enough for Teplice to draw with Plzeň and lose heavily at Liberec.
Offensively, Bohemka was more active from the beginning. However, the Kangaroos were hampered by poor finishing, so in the opening phase, despite all their efforts, they only managed to miss a few shots. Teplice’s performance in attack was absolutely dismal in the first half hour. The Glaziers didn’t show anything at all and at times it looked as if there was perhaps an invisible force field in the half of the Prague team. The North Bohemians only gained courage shortly before the break, when Abdallah Gnigue headed Roman Valeš alone after a hot moment.
The visitors had a huge chance a few minutes after the opening whistle of the second half. Květ crossed the center of the pitch, but his volley down the ground only stamped the far post. The Kangaroos looked determined to finally break the game apart, which they almost did in the 53rd minute. They got the ball into the net, but the goal could not be awarded for offside. Further offensive plans were greatly complicated by Květ, who after a criminal break in the middle of the field headed for the showers prematurely. The game eventually became more even, but it was impossible to say that the yellow and blue would dominate in any significant way. In the end, the balance of power on the field was evened out, because less than 10 minutes before the end, Lukáš Mareček saw a second yellow card on the Teplice side. Bohemians took advantage of this in a flash and took the lead from Křapka’s kick five minutes before the end. Teplice couldn’t find an answer and the guests took home a well-deserved win.
Bohemka therefore followed up on excellent performances from the preparation and the beginning of the new season and won for the second time. In the next round, on August 20, they will welcome Hradec Králové to their field. On the same day, the glaziers will perform on the pitch of Baník Ostrava.
