Caen stumbles on Dijon, Bordeaux continues
Twists, confirmations, discover the results of the 3rd day of Ligue 2.
Ligue 2 results: No 3rd victory in a row for Caen
SM Caen was able to take the place of leader of Ligue 2 in case of success in Dijon. Mission failed for the men of Stéphane Moulin. It took until the second half for the game to come alive. It was the Normans who struck first through the inevitable Alexandre Mendy (48th). The Dijonnais will react quickly. On the hour mark, Xande Silva fixed the Caen defense before rolling his ball perfectly to deceive Anthony Mandrea. Caen believed in its lucky star when Cheick Traoré diverted the ball into his own goals (87th). But, Bryan Soumaré on penalty puts the two teams tied.
Ligue 2 results: Guingamp concedes a draw against Paris FC (0-0)
We’re not going to lie to each other, we didn’t enjoy this Saturday afternoon at Roudourou. However, the poster on paper was promising between the leader of Ligue 2, Guingamp, and a candidate for the rise in Ligue 1, Paris FC. But the two teams were sorely lacking in attacking momentum, not helped by the scorching heat in Brittany. It took until the 42nd minute to see the first shot on target through Parisian defender Julien Le Cardinal.
Returning from the locker room, only a header next to the Guingamp defender Félix Eboa Eboa (58th) wakes up the Roudourou spectators. In numerical superiority following the expulsion of Paul Lasne for an uncontrolled tackle (63rd), the Bretons do not manage to pack the meeting. Alone, Dylan Louiserre on a free kick will put the goalkeeper of Paris FC to work in the last moments of the game, Ivan Filipovic.
The other results of the third day of Ligue 2:
In the other meetings of the evening, Bordeaux chain against Niort (1-0). Shortly after the hour mark, it was young Logan Delaurier-Chaubet who opened the score for the Girondins. The Chamois Niortais could have hoped for better but Gaëtan Poussin was able to repel their attempts. Beyond Bordeaux, Bastia prevailed against Grenoble (3-0). Frank Magri (9th), Sébastien Salles-Lamonge (23rd) and Benjamin Santelli (85th) are the island scorers. Another success at home, that of Metz versus Valenciennes (2-0). Ablie Jallow (15th) and Georges Mikautadze are the scorers of the game.
It’s bad for Sochaux who bows at home against Amiens (0-1). Nimes Rodez (1-0). Laval confirms its good start to the season by winning at Annecy (0-1). Finally, the Le Havre and Paul were neutralized at Stade Océane (1-1). Yassine Kechta for Le Havre and Steven Beusnard are the scorers of the match.
