France: AS Monaco tried to bring Zambo Anguissa to the Rock
André-Frank Zambo Anguissa will be one of Napoli’s strong men this season. But during this summer transfer window, the Cameroonian environment was the target of greed. Especially from AS Monaco who tried to bring him to the Rock.
Loaned with option to buy by Fulham in Naples in August 2021, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa signs definitively for the Italian club almost a later. But in turn, the Neapolitan club could have lost the 26-year-old. According to information from Foot Mercato, AS Monaco tried to bring the midfielder to the Principality. But the Monegasques encountered a firm refusal from Naples, even if the former Marseillais was not against the idea.
Last season, Zambo Anguissa delivered two assists in 30 games in all competitions for coach Spalletti’s side. The former Villarreal player has 42 caps (5 goals) with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
