As the head of state noted, the Naval Doctrine sets out the tasks facing Russia in the field of maritime security. The head of state said: “Their protection will be reliable and by all means.”
The purpose of the document is to ensure the implementation of Russia’s national maritime policy.
The new Maritime Recommendation provides that Russia will strengthen the military infrastructure in Crimea and strengthen the Black Sea Fleet, and the proportion of ships under the international flag will increase.
In addition, the recommendations show that the growth of NATO activity and the US course towards dominance in the World Ocean is one of the main threats to Russia’s security, and Moscow can use military force to realize its interests in the World Ocean if the identification of possibilities has been exhausted.
The new recommendations provide for the development of the production of modern aircraft, the development of a ship repair complex in the Crimea and Sevastopol, the construction of new fishing vessels at domestic shipyards, the construction of port complexes in the Baltic Sea, ensuring transport accessibility in Kaliningrad, the development of LNG capacities in the Far East and other areas of work .
Also, the new Maritime Recommendation assumes active work on Svalbard, France-Joseph Land, Novaya Zemlya and Wrangel Island and the development of satellite communication systems in Antarctica.
During the celebration of the Navy Day presidency in St. Petersburg, it was announced that the delivery of the Zircon hypersonic systems to the Russian armed forces will begin in the coming months and the first carrier of the Zircon, Admiral Gorshkov.
