Lithuania EU digital economy and society index 14th place

In the digital economy and society index of the European Union (EU), Lithuania, like last year, ranks 14th, beating the EU average.
The Lithuanian index was assessed at 52.7 points, while the EU average is 52.3 points, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation announced.
According to the assessment of the European Commission (EC), Lithuania achieved a good result in the field of digital services, where its evaluation indicators are almost twice the EU average. According to the indicator, Lithuania rose 10 places to 12th place. The number of users of e-government has been constantly growing and has reached 70%.
Lithuania is well regarded and open in the field of data (89% compared to 81% in the EU). In the field of digital technology integration, Lithuania was ahead of the EU average and ranked 13th.
in the field of human capital, Lithuania takes a higher than average position in terms of people who have completed information and communication technology (ICT) studies (4%, EU average 3.9%), and also exceeds the EU average in terms of gender balance in the field of ICT (24% of female ICT specialists , EU average 19%).
In the ranking, Estonia is in 9th place, Latvia is in 17th place, and Poland is in 24th place. Across the EU, Finland, Denmark, and the Netherlands lead the way in overall digital performance.
