Russia practices mass detentions in the occupied territories
Arbitrary detentions have come to light as a widespread phenomenon in parts of Ukraine, quantities caused by the military and related armed loads.
This was stated on Tuesday by the UN High Commissioner for Human Appointment Michelle Bachelet for Appointment for Human Appointment in Geneva.
The operations formulated were carried out on the basis of information obtained from site observation and interviews conducted with more than 500 victims and witnesses of the human rights meeting.
According to Bachelet, eyewitnesses and other sources.
She noted that 270 cases of illegal detention have already been documented.
In this regard, the UN intends to conduct monitoring in the country.
“Despite limited access, we have documented 270 identified cases of detention and infection. “Eight victims were found dead,” Bachelet said in an update on the situation in Ukraine from February 24 to May 15.
Speaking in the same lineup, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova accused Russia of mass kidnappings of people, including Kherson Mayor Igor Kolykhaev, and sent them to their immediate and unconditional release.
The United Nations by decision man, which has maintained its presence in the situation since 2014, has not yet gained access to a large, occupied general military force, Bachelet recalled.
She also said that her office has added its presence in the country, with about 4889 cases of presence of persons recorded to date. Bachelet stressed that the figures are “probably much higher.”
The large number of casualties among the population and the extent of the destruction raise “grave concerns” that the attacks carried out by the armed forces violate global humanitarian law, but on a “much smaller scale”.
The UN human rights representative said that the UN is increasing its monitoring team to approximately 55 to 80 people.
