The three killed are a man in his 40s and two “young people”, says chief police inspector in the Copenhagen police, Søren Thomassen, at a press conference on Monday night.

Accused of murder

It is stated that the suspected perpetrator is a “peripheral” known to the police.
Handle probably alone
The police state that the preliminary investigation indicates that the suspected perpetrator acted alone.
– An enormous amount of work is going on to ensure that the hypothesis we are working on reaches true. The hypothesis is that he acted alone, says the police inspector.
The motive is unclear in advance.
Thomassen further says that there may be other weapons in play, but this is not something they are sure of. The shooting must have taken place in several places in the shopping center.
