Hannover 96: Stefan Leitl calls two ex-Fuerthers to the team council – 2nd Bundesliga
Exciting who wears the bandage at the blitz tournament in Osnabrück on Saturday…
Because Stefan Leitl (44) only named the team council on the last day in Rotenburg, but not the captain. Apparently the coach needs a few more days.
Seven people on the team council! Leitl also determined two (ex-) Fürthers.
No surprise are the top favorites for the armband – Julian Börner (31), Ron-Robert Zieler (33) and Cologne signing Louis Schaub (27). It is between this trio that the decision is made as to who will become the new 96 captain.
Sebastian Kerk (28) and Hendrik Weydandt (26) were also expected, both were already allowed to wear the bandage in the preparation.
Leitl also called up two players with whom he had already worked in a spirit of trust in Fürth: new signing Havard Nielsen (28) and Sebastian Ernst (27), although he will be out for a longer time after tearing his Achilles tendon.
Leitl: “It is important to me that the team council consists of players who lead the team as communicators and through work and attitude. The seven guys are all players with strong characters who not only take on responsibility and lead the way on and off the field.”
He has now. Leitl informed the players between the two training sessions. Sports director Marcus Mann was also there.
