Zajíčková (ODS): Prague 5 small number of representatives
In accordance with the provisions of § 88 par. 2 let. f) of Act No. 131/2000 Coll., on the Capital City of Prague, as amended, 41 members for the election period 2022 – 2026 were proposed and approved by an absolute majority of the present members of the Prague City Council.
“The city district of Prague 5 is striving for a gradual reduction of financial costs and savings. The number of 41 deputies was also in previous election periods and I am glad that the elected representatives will set an example in the savings of the city district, “adds the mayor of the Prague 5 district, Mgr. Renáta Zajíčková (ODS), who also proposed a reduction.
In determining the number of its members, the council took into account in particular the population, district and high level of development of Prague 5. “The approved proposal should not discriminate according to the mathematical model of the party with lower preferences; The lower number of representatives will in no way endanger the functioning of the city district, “adds Zajíčková.
