Brilliant Berlin week on and off the field
11 players and three leaders have been in Berlin for the last seven days to represent Norway during the Pre Games Special Olympics, which acts as a tester for next year’s Special Olympics in the same city. The group has had an unforgettable trip, with good sporting results, strong results and not least memorable experiences outside the court.
They played total fire fighting.

The first ended in an 8-7 win against Wiesel Damenteam on Tuesday afternoon. Thursday started with a 5-9 loss against Denmark. That match was followed up with an impressive 15-5 triumph against the Turnado Girls from Germany, where as many as six players came on the scoring list. The fourth and final match also ended in a Norwegian victory – 10-6 against Team Sachsen on Friday.
Thus, the Norwegian team can travel home from the test games in Berlin as silver girls!

Off the field has made the chance to experience several Berlin sights, such as the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag, and the week has also included disco, sightseeing and good food.
– In the stands, the players’ families have provided a great atmosphere and invaluable support, says inclusion manager in NHF, Eva Skei.
After the last match, all received their well-deserved medals.
– Here is a great atmosphere and many tears of joy! And we are already looking forward to next year’s World Games Special Olympics, reports Skei.
