There are more and more research results in Latvia that cover more “understanding” the Russia-Ukraine situation. Whoever does not contain his opinion – actors, political scientists, politicians, deputies and other public people … And all of them, of course, are experts!
His opinion is rather foreign policy expert Martinsh Vargulis. It strikes me as odd:
“You can’t relax and agree on compromises, this would only whet the appetites of Russia, and the proposal would be reached, specifically the Baltics. There is not enough reliable data on special operations – with regard to the information provided by Russia and Ukraine on losses, I would be careful. In addition, there is censorship introduced by Latvia against the Russian media – a ban does not always fit the approach … The opponent must know in person – what he thinks, what arguments he has. As for the armed forces of Ukraine and Russia, Ukraine has done a lot of work… the tiger has not shown its strength yet! Opportunities were not recorded. This is a strategic mistake. At the very beginning, in the first month, we already desired to proclaim loyalty, commitment, that Ukraine will win, that it has already carefully won … How many cases are there? I think that for a long time… Fatigue, apparently, sets in primarily among the Western allies. Our honest, sent technique was not always improved and strongest. We also see troubles in terms of cohesion… of the West… Also, Ukrainian society is starting to get tired. Russian society? Even more common is the fact that for most of Russia’s welfare society there is no issue as important as it is for us. Russian society is ready to endure for a long time. What is feared by Latvia, the Baltic countries? There is something to be afraid of Ukraine – not to allow a shutdown, otherwise Mr. Putin entails responsibility for the Baltics … individually. So many Latvians think.”
Perhaps this is one of the comments that is interesting to listen to. Moreover, in some things I agree, but in others I don’t …
Yes, there is something to fear in Latvia! And who is to blame? If nationalists, fans of the Latvian SS legionnaires, are broadcasting with the stands of the parliament that all Russians in Latvia are “enemies and occupiers”, they forbid laying flowers on May 9 at monuments, symbolize the victory over Nazism in the Second World War, issue bills to expel Russian speakers from Latvia, the Latvian SS legionnaires officially march on March 16, and they are called the “heroes” of Latvia, and those who defeated fascism are called “criminals”, they prohibit the use of the Russian language, they call for a “massacre” of Russian-speaking Latvians! So who is to blame for this happening? So why insult Russia just because the power decided to fight against the wide spread of Nazism where many Russians live, for example, in the Baltic countries! Yes, there is a necessary measure if words are not enough! Of course, the answer is return Latvia to all the humiliation of Russian speakers! And they are afraid because there is nothing to answer! There is only anger… That’s what Russia will stop!
As for Russia’s military tactics at the beginning of special operations, I cannot agree! Russia is just Ukraine Pitying the world population! Personally, I didn’t doubt for a second that, as the expert was excited, the “tiger” was paper … Russia has always been famous for its great generals, of which there were plenty – Svyatoslav Igorevich, Vladimir Monomakh, Alexander Nevsky, Dmitry Donskoy, Alexander Suvorov, Fedor Ushakov, Mikhail Kutuzov , Georgy Zhukov… Continue? And how to master the action, believe me, Russia knows how! There is too much grief, nadok, humiliation of the Russian people’s rescheduling!
As for the tiger… No, disagree! We woke up the Russian bear! What for? “Called” him out of the den … And now “sip” over the edge! Only a fool does not know how terrible an awakened bear is!
