Prague will distribute 166.12 million crowns among subsidies between several town halls
The Prague City Hall will distribute 166.12 million crowns among several city districts for extraordinary special-purpose investment subsidies. The money is provided for the expansion of capacity and reconstruction of school facilities, as well as increasing capacity for Ukrainian children. This is what Prague representatives are talking about today.
Most of the money is intended for capacity expansion and reconstruction of schools, namely 113.97 million crowns. The highest amount will go to the City Hall of Prague 14, which will receive 50 million crowns for a complete reconstruction of the kitchen and other work in the Vybíralova primary school. the winner of 33 million will travel to Prague 22 to build a school. The money will also be given to Prague 4 for repairs in the Poláčkova primary school.
As part of capacity expansion due to the reception of children of Ukrainian refugees, the highest town hall in Prague 15 will receive 30 million crowns for the construction of two so-called modular buildings in the Křimická and Kozinova primary schools. In the event of a reduction in the number of Ukrainian children, the facilities will be used as outdoor classrooms, school facilities or leisure activities. The money will also go to Prague 18 and the town hall in Libuš.
City councils have been facing a shortage of places for refugee children in schools since the beginning of the refugee crisis. For example, the City Hall of Prague 4 has increased the maximum number of pupils in classes in its primary schools, increasing to 34 compared to the current maximum of 30 children in one class.
