Prague – The legendary Czech hockey player Jaromír Jágr had a car accident in Prague today. The 50-year-old player and owner of Kladno collided with a tram in Plzeňská Street in his Kia electric car. The first server to deliver the information novinky.cz and the hockey player later confirmed it. The accident, which went without serious injuries, is now being investigated by the police.
“It was my fault. At Plzeňská I tried to cross from one direction to the other. I checked the other side and I didn’t go to it at the right time. But there was a lot of traffic and I didn’t have time to react to the tram, which was running at high speed in “I noticed half a meter in front of me, at the last minute. I thought it was my end,” Jagr described to facebook the course of the accident.
He also attached a photo of the destroyed car to the report and assured the supporter that he escaped from the accident without injury. “But most importantly, nothing happened to the passengers on the tram,” he added, thanking all those who intervened on the spot for their help.
The accident took place in the morning at the Motol hospital. The tram in the car with the logo of the Knights of Kladno crashed on the driver’s side. The Olympic champion, two-time world champion and two-time Stanley Cup winner was behind the wheel.
Firefighters, police and rescuers intervened on the spot, treating one wounded man. “After the accident, the man signed a negative reverse, stating that he did not need a transfer to the hospital,” rescue spokeswoman Jana Poštová quoted the Novinky server as saying.
