Rospotrebnadzor clarifies that the likelihood of cases in Russia is assessed “as reduced in the detection of air traffic with most countries where cases of the disease have been recorded.”
The department noted that previously passed vaccination against smallpox of a serious spread of monkeypox, “since all poviruses give good cross-immunity.”
“Thanks to the previously conducted mass vaccination against smallpox in Russia, there is an immune layer necessary to stop the spread of smallpox in monkeys,” the distribution added.
In order not to get sick, as noted in the departments, citizens visiting groups of endemic countries should be infected with animals that carry the virus, especially with rodents and primates.

Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that 92 cases of smallpox infection in monkeys were detected in the world from May 13 to May 21.
Another 28 people are suspected of being filled. So far, no deaths have been recorded.
