Kotlin Dev Day in the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam
IT consultancy Xebia is organizing an event on Thursday 19 May for developers and engineers who want to learn more about the Kotlin programming language. Kotlin Dev Day is an excellent opportunity for backend developers to increase their knowledge about Kotlin. The event takes place in the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam.
Kotlin is a cross-platform programming language designed to work with Java. It is officially supported by Google for developing mobile apps on Android. “The Kotlin programming language arises from the many deviations from Java”, says Urs Peter from Xebia. “The results are impressive. The code written in Kotlin is much more robust and concise with fewer computation values with Java. while the software is more measurable, official to maintain and more secure, it also preserves the Java ecosystem. Kotlin can really make the difference to innovate faster with better quality software.”
All the ins and outs
During the event, experts from JetBrains, Xebia and other Kotlin enthusiasts from such as Rabobank, Bol.com, Adyen companies will be present to discuss and explain all the ins and outs of working with Kotlin. Xebia has the core belief that knowledge sharing and giving back is important in the world of IT to drive innovation and move forward.
