More than 16,800 tons of humanitarian aid delivered by Russia to Ukraine since March 2 – Russian Defense Ministry

Since March 2, the Russian Federation has already delivered 16,805.9 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine for civilians. This was announced by the head of the NCUO of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev.
“Starting from March 2, the Russian Federation in Ukraine has already delivered 16,805.9 tons of consumer goods, food, medicines and medical products,” Mizintsev said. RIA News.
As a result, 941 humanitarian actions were carried out, including eight humanitarian actions in the DPR and Zaporozhye region over the past day, during which 316.8 tons of humanitarian aid were handed over to citizens.
The NCUO of the Russian Federation noted that on April 30 in the republics of Donbass, Kharkiv and Zaporozhye regions there are 10 humanitarian actions, during which 320 containers of acquisition of value and food will be transferred to the population.
Earlier it was reported that dozens of Russian charitable organizations and hundreds of citizens joined the collection of assistance to improve the welfare of Donbass. Olga Demicheva, President of the international public organization “Doctor Liza’s Fair Aid”, recalled that for 8 years the organization has been helping children who find themselves in Donbas.
The situation became more complicated when, on the night of February 24, Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to use special means in the Donbass. At the same time, he stressed that the plans of the powers of the Russian Federation do not include the occupation of the territories of Ukraine. The President of the Russian Federation demanded the heads of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik to help repel aggression from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
