Planning several new newspapers in Norway
But international editor Rasmus Emborg can not go into details yet.
“We need to launch even more online newspapers,” reads a recent job advertisement from the Watch Media system.
The Danish group, which already operates EiendomsWatch, FinansWatch and AdvokatWatch in Norway, has plans for even more Norwegian publications, confirms international editor Rasmus Emborg above the Journalist.
– We have never hidden that we have ambitions in Norway, and we experience that there are many opportunities here, so we consider different things, but it is difficult to be more specific at the current time, says Emborg.
Nor will he say exactly how many new employees they plan to recruit. As of now, the three Norwegian newspapers have a total of 14 editorial staff.
Since 2010, Watch Media has launched 16 digital industry media in Denmark, and also has online newspapers in Germany.
– How has the Norwegian investment gone so far?
– It is really good, that is also why we have set ourselves the goal of launching new media. All three existing newspapers have been well received by the market and are developing positively. Relevance is the key word for us, and we are happy to experience that we create relevant content for our customers and get more subscribers every month, says Emborg, and concludes:
– At the same time, we know from experience that things take time. We are not at the finish line yet, it is very hard work again.
