“United Russia” continues to collect books in the regions as part of the campaign “Books to Donbass”
More than 1.5 thousand books have been collected in the Oryol region. In less than a week since the beginning of the actions, the public reception party was filled with the works of Pushkin, Chukovsky, Barto, Nosov, Prishvin and other peoples of Russian authors. Head of the reception of United Russia, acting Orel Regional Council of People’s Deputies Mikhail Vdovin said that some of the books coming to the DPR and LPR end up and end up in points of temporary closure by refugees.
“We bring some of the books, especially literature for the little ones, to those who were forced to leave their homes with their children. Only in the last two days we have provided for the appointment and, together with humanitarian aid, handed over children’s books, which are in great demand,” he said.
Students of gymnasium No. 19 and school No. 10 of the city of Orel prepared more than four hundred new copies of educational and fiction literature for the library of Donbass.
Recently, the Podgorensky district of the Voronezh region joined the actions.
By the name of a member of the association “United Russia” in the Voronezh Regional Duma Olga Ortina, active participation in promotions for the admission of schoolchildren, teachers, employees of preschool institutions. Literature is collected “on the ground”, in kindergartens and schools, after which it is transferred to the local reception of United Russia.
“As part of the campaign, various literature is being broadcast to Donbass – these are books for the youngest readers, works by Russian classics. Quite often there are literary reference books on the history of Russia, including encyclopedic publications for children and youth,” Olga Ortina noted.
In Kalmykia, the deputies of the “United Russia” meeting of the Elista city assembly, which collects books, decided to purchase the necessary literature themselves.
“It is important not to interrupt the educational process in children. It is necessary to fill the void that was formed after the seizure of Russian-language books by the Nazis from the library and school,” the deputy was elected Badma Dorzhdiev.
Recall that on March 21, United Russia launched the “Books to Donbass” campaign – a collection of books in Russian to replenish the book fund of the libraries of the LPR and DPR, including school ones.
