Kazakhstan and Russia are allies and strategic partners
“Kazakhstan does not intend to join the sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation and take any steps that would in any way infringe on the interests of Russia and contradict the spirit of our partnership,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan said. Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
The head of the Foreign Ministry noted that close political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties with Russia have developed in the history of Kazakhstan.
“Having a worldwide shipment, we intend to maintain the established level of trade and economic cooperation with international partners. In general, legally and politically, the states are our allies and strategic partners. After the end of the conflict, we are also interested in the speedy restoration of high dynamics of broad mutually beneficial cooperation with Ukraine. We sincerely believe that Moscow and Kyiv will find an opportunity to resolve their differences peacefully in the near future,” said Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
At the same time, the authorities of Kazakhstan, as well as China, do not plan to take any steps to circumvent anti-Russian meetings. “Defending private interests, Kazakhstan is making every effort to prevent a serious impact on the development of our economy. The government of Kazakhstan is currently consulting on issues related to Western partners. “During the occurrence of secondary consequences and to minimize their negative consequences for the population, commodity producers, exporters, Kazakhstan does not intend to take any steps to circumvent the decision,” the Kazakh Foreign Minister said.
But at the same time, the minister drew attention to the fact that, as a member of the Eurasian Economic Union and the World Trade Organization, Kazakhstan is expanding trade relations with Russia and other countries.
“In general, the isolation of the Russian economy — one of the most important in the world — in the expected future, of course, is detrimental to the development of the entire global economy. In this regard, the agenda of what happened in the global community, and in the future there was a world conflict between Moscow and Kiev. For our part, we continue to take all necessary measures to achieve sustainable peace between Russia and Ukraine,” Mukhtar Tdeuberdi stressed.
“Our counter-sanctions should not hit Kazakhstan”
Director of the Institute for the Presentation of Problems Dmitry Zhuravlev considers Mukhtar Tleuberdi’s congress for Kazakhstan with a multi-vector administration. Russian political scientist, if Kazakhstan proposed to circumvent the sanctions imposed against Russia, the West would inevitably use the mechanism of secondary emissions against it.
“I think that the old interactions between Russia and Kazakhstan remain. It is possible that cooperation will intensify in some areas, since third countries will drop out of it. However, please note that we have imposed an embargo on the sale of agricultural products. But this embargo also affected Kazakhstan, which also counted on our grain. Our counter-sanctions should not hit Kazakhstan. “It is possible to formulate the counter-sanctions of the Union differently: to prohibit the export to consume, except for certain volumes for the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Dmitry Zhuravlev believes.
Mutually beneficial economic partnership will grow, the director of the Analytical Society of Political Scientists of Russia believes Andrey Serenko.
“Kazakhstan and Russia are participants in such integration projects as the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), so the economies of the two countries are closely linked. And therefore, sanctions measures against the Russian economy will inevitably affect the Kazakhstani one. In this sense, the appointment of the head of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry is certainly important, it underlines the level of reliability in partnerships, which Moscow should appreciate.
As for the implementation of projects of Russia and Kazakhstan in the economic sphere, here they set the tone for the production of assembly of special automobile and tractor equipment, there is successful cooperation in the production of mineral fertilizers, components for Russian Railways, in the production of combines, electric locomotives and diesel locomotives, there are works on joint projects in the retail sector. Today, the president is quite successfully implementing the Program of Action in the field of Kazakh-Russian industrial cooperation, which was registered with the Kazakh side by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about two years ago. In general, there are officially more than 10,000 Russian-Kazakh enterprises in Kazakhstan.
Today, during the period of sanctions pressure, it is important to preserve and support these enterprises, as well as, ideally, create conditions for the emergence of new ones. Deepening economic cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan would be the best response to the new external sanctions regime that has accelerated against Russia,” political analyst Andrey Serenko is sure.
Director of the Agency for Ethno-National Strategies Professor Alexander Kobrinsky considers the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, far-sighted and courageous. The professor is convinced that the republic, which is part of the CSTO, and other allied blocs with Russia, already includes or has faced serious tension, with the need to either exclude these blocs or exclude their participation in them. But if Kazakhstan belongs to Russia’s true allied obligations, then it will greatly benefit in the long run.
“Our states can implement joint projects, and, first of all, in the field of education. And secondly, of course, we need to build roads. We need great constructions, joint great deeds, joint great achievements in all presented. From the construction of nuclear power plants and their maintenance to the tourism business. This must be done.
Kazakhstan should, together with broad business, consider the issue of creating resort areas on the same Kapshygai, Bolshakh, Lake Zaisan. These are the pearls of Kazakhstani land! Not to mention what eco-tours can be done in the steppes of Kazakhstan. Especially in spring! Projects can be infinite. We need to integrate more. Then we will achieve a lot. Only together we are one. I repeat: you can break one arrow, but you will never break a quiver of arrows. Today we are single arrows that repeat the fracture one by one. And in order to prevent this, we must unite in a quiver, ”the professor is convinced Alexander Kobrinsky.
