Cross-country skiing competitions take place in the United Russia Kolya – Murmansk Bulletin
Children from senior and research groups of 12 kindergartens of the Kola region took part in the 19th cross-country skiing competition “Kola Penguin” (0+) within the framework of the party project “Children’s Sport”. The guys have been preparing for the starts since the beginning of the winter season. As soon as the first snow fell, the kids began intensive training in physical education classes.
Instead of a warm-up, children and adults who came to cheer on the young skiers supported the incendiary dance of the penguins. It was performed by pupils of kindergarten No. 4 of the district center.
“It is very good that a healthy lifestyle is instilled from early childhood. I want to say a huge thank you to the educators and plan for watching sports and the right example. Well, I wish you, dear guys, I passed and, of course, a victory! ”, Andrey Malkhasyan, the deputy of the open department of the unit, the department of the Kola district, treated the young athletes with a welcoming speech.
“Today’s participants of Penguin are our future. Unfortunately, many of you are not sure. Each of you is already a winner, because today you went skiing, despite the wind and snowstorm! ”, – said the winner of the Summer Olympic Games in Athens, a deputy of the Murmansk Regional Duma (United Russia faction) Larisa Kruglova.
The 400m race was spectacular. On the track there were overtaking on corners, and tears during falls, and joyful hugs at the finish line. After waiting for the young participants in the races, hot tea with fresh pastries was waiting. According to the established tradition, the silver medalist of the Olympic Games Larisa Kruglova presented plush penguins to the winners of the race. Owning mainly this symbol is the cherished dream of every young skier. Medals and diplomas of the participants will take place a little later – at the closing ceremony of the 51st historical Holiday of the North of the Kola region.
Recall that the “Kola Penguin” is one of the visiting cards of the trip. The purpose of the annual competition is to promote a healthy lifestyle among preschoolers, as well as to increase children’s interest in skiing. For 19 years of holding winter competitions, more than three thousand kids from the Kola region took part in them.
