Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that Russia should be “isolated from the free world.” She announced this at a briefing RIA News”.
“Russia must be isolated from the free world. We have to decide on the defense case.”
She added that another package against Russia is currently being developed.
Earlier, Reuters, citing sources reportedthat the European Commission has put together a new package regarding Russia and Belarus because of the situation around Ukraine.
In particular, as part of the new SWIFT systems, three Belarusian banks will be shut down. A ban will also be imposed on the export of marine technology from Russia to Europe. According to the agency, the new package will be discussed on March 8 at the post-preliminary application level. The EU also singles out membership against “Russian oligarchs” and members of parliament.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has advocated tightening restrictions on banking or limiting their access to the SWIFT system.
