The inspected car was a Mercedes Benz van with a cooling superstructure. “During an inspection of the cargo area, the customs officers found that the driver and co-driver were transporting a thousand kilograms of meat of unknown origin. The driver stated that it was supposed to be sheep, but none of the members of the vehicle crew was able to deliver any document to the customs officers on the transported meat, “said Yvona Matějková, a spokeswoman for Central Bohemian customs officers.
Due to the fact that the meat was transported without documents and unsatisfactory conditions, they contacted the customs regional veterinary administration, its competence includes violating veterinary regulations in the transport of animal products. She sent a veterinary inspector to the scene. “After checking the transport of the meat and measuring the temperature in the transport space, the meat was degraded using a blue food color and its disposal was ordered. The Regional Veterinary Administration took over the case, “added the customs spokeswoman.
Rescuers are heading to Ukraine: They want to help the wounded there
The paradox in the whole case is the fact that if the driver and the driver did not lie, the goal was a Prague company that does business in retail and wholesale with so-called kosher meat. So meat of the highest quality.
