VISUALIZATION: See what the space between Letná and Stromovka should look like Prague 7 | From the region Pražská Drbna
The public space between Letenské sady and Stromovka will be modified, which will also cover Korunovační and Nad Štolou streets and the area near the National Technical and National Agricultural Museums. It will find a new form in the architectural competition. Prague 7 presented a conceptual study for Korunovační Street, which is the work of the edit! architects.
The final form of the study also concerns the public
The projects will change the character of the important Letna class. “The aim is to reconcile the renewal of public infrastructure and the planned adjustments, which will be gradually supported by other organizations. The task of the study is to ensure the coherence of these activities and not to make it impossible for one project to implement another. In Korunovační, we primarily want to increase the safety of the street traffic, ensure the conditions for the renewal and addition of street alleys or front gardens, and overall increase the aesthetics of the local public space, “ says the Deputy Mayor of Prague 7 Lenka Burgerová (Prague 7 to each other).
Before assigning the future appearance of the street to the Coronation Architects, 80 respondents from the public took part in the survey “Together after Letná”. In addition to experts from the city of Prague 7, the Institute of Monuments, IPR, architects, transport specialists and dendrologists, the final form of the study also concerns the general public, especially the inhabitants of Prague 7.
The big news is waiting for the seven. After a hundred years, new primary schools will be built on its territory. Therefore, the seventh city district announced an international architectural competition in January, which will be evaluated by a jury composed of the management of Prague 7 and architects.
I also think of the study of cyclists
“The Korunovační concept study is an important project that I think about pedestrians and cyclists, but also the environment. The whole concept will then also be coordinated with the transformation of the Museum District, the form of which will be selected within the architectural and urban planning competition. It will be announced soon this spring, “ said the director Ondřej Boháč.
Editing in the studio! The architects in the study emphasize the improvement of traffic safety for all traffic participants, the provision of conditions for renewal, the addition of street alleys and the overall aesthetics of public space.

Sidewalks, tree lines and front gardens
There will be sidewalks, tree lines and front gardens on both sides of the street, which will bring them closer to the houses and at least partially restore the street to its original spirit. The proposal envisages new pedestrian crossings, a higher number of parking spaces, including short-term supply parking spaces, and a number of safety features.
“The aim is to simplify and clarify the passage through the street by bike and to enable cyclists to enter the sidewalk safely, especially due to the presence of primary schools and two kindergartens in Na Výšinách Street,” replied one of the authors of the study architect Simon Docekal.
