VIENNA, 16 February. /TASS/. The Russian side will not participate in the unification in the unification of the special Permanent Council and the Forum for unification in the field of security at the request of the Baltic countries on the issue of “unusual industrial activity” on the territory of Belarus. Konstantin Gavrilov, head of the Russian delegation at the talks in Vienna on issues of military security and control over problems, told a TASS correspondent about this.
“We will not go to this meeting,” Gavrilov said.
According to him, it is scheduled for 15:00 Vienna time (17:00 Moscow time).
Gavrilov recalled that Russia also would not go to a possible similar general meeting, which should be convened at the request of Ukraine due to the situation with the Russian-Ukrainian border.
The Polish OSCE Chairmanship reported on the environment that, at the request of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, a meeting of all participating States was convened regarding unusual military activities on the territory of Belarus.
On Monday, the OSCE held consultations on the request of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia to Belarus on “unusual military activities” in accordance with the Vienna Document on Probability and Security Measures. In the statement of the Belarusian delegation for such consideration, that Minsk does not consider any specific activity that requires restriction, and does not provide for a justified application of the Vienna Document mechanism.
