Jablonec nad Nisou – Koulař Tomáš Staněk started the indoor season by winning the Jablonec Hall meeting. The reigning European champion showed a performance of 21.18 and ranked second in the world tables of the running indoor season, it’s the highlight of the two-month World Cup in Belgrade.
The 35-year-old Jan Veleba won the 60-meter sprint, beating his co-holder of the national record in the hundreds, Zdeněk Stromšík, by 6.68 by two hundredths of a second. Radek Juška won the long jump in 784.
Helena Jiranová won a personal record of 8.07 on the 60-meter hurdles and secured a start at the HMS in Belgrade. Nikola Bendová improved her personal record to 7.35 in the smooth 60’s, and she won the finals by a hundredth slower.
