The aim of Czech theater is to make Czech plays accessible to non-native speakers of the Czech language. Anne Johnson, the founder of Czech theater, explained one: “We adapted the play based on an excellent translation of Melvin Clark’s novel. It will be the first time that the play will be performed on stage in English and it will be the first time that Czech audiences will see another actor in the roles. It’s a really big step forward for us and I hope that people will enjoy the great work that our actors did with making the Czech theater accessible to a wider audience. “
The Czech Theater usually plays in a more intimate music laboratory, but this time it will be performed in CoLabs, Kounicova 22. The stage is larger so that more people can watch without feeling overcrowded. Shows on January 29 and 30 and February 5 and 6. Tickets are available at smsticket.cz.
