On the final day, it turns out that Kiril Lazarov is not in the European Championship due to a muscle injury. The 41-year-old North Macedonian star could only lead his own as a federal captain.
His team got off to a good start, but the Slovenian guard later took control after producing a 6-0 series. The northern Macedon fought hard all the way, several times on the verge of equalization, but they could no longer take the final step. Thus, the Slovenes won the opening meeting in a great struggle.
