Rosselkhoznadzor has suspended imports of animals and meat from Kazakhstan since January 12 due to the spread of the foot and mouth disease virus. This is reported on site departments.
“From January 12, 2022, in accordance with temporary export restrictions to the Russian Federation, you can get products from Kazakhstan: FMD-susceptible animals, including companion animals, as well as wild, circus and zoo animals,” the message says.
In addition, it is prohibited to import into the Russian structure genetic material, raw meat, milk and dairy products that have not undergone heat treatment, wool, skins, leather, feed and food additives of natural origin, used substances for keeping and slaughtering animals.
In December last year, Rospotrebnadzor limited deliveries of fruits and vegetables from enterprises, Egypt and Iran. The supply of oranges, grapes, tangerines, pomegranates, lemons and peppers was limited.
