DEAC resumes after a long break – Debrecen news, Debrecen news | News of Debrecen and Hajdú-Bihar counties
After a long break, DEAC’s chess division resumed
However, the operation of chess did not stop during this time, as the works were carried out under the name of Chess School in Debrecen. The association was founded more than a year ago and has been training its newcomers ever since. The sport has a long history at DEAC.
Chess itself dates back to the 600s, around which time it developed in India and then reached Europe through Arabic mediation. Meanwhile, changes have taken place that have laid the foundation for the look and rules of today’s modern chess.
The sport, however, is known to put mental abilities in the background by pushing physical traits into the background. It requires skills such as a high degree of concentration, patience, strategic thinking, logic and tactics. In chess, strategy means a long game plan that affects the entire game and determines a person’s style of play, while tactics involve immediate reaction, covering how the player takes advantage of the various basic steps.
It follows that chess is an extremely complex and difficult sport to master, but that does not prevent minors from getting close to it.
– Young people and times alike are present in our association because spiritual knowledge is what matters. For example, a small child may have a match with an adult, as the physique does not matter
– Mihály Juhász, the head of the chess department, shared his thoughts. – DEAC operates the department at three levels: we have an NB I, an NB II and a county first class team. we also educate the youth a lot, a lot of young people are involved. We are in the top five on the national list of youth education associations.
The class in chess is Super League, where the outstanding chess players in Hungary can be found. While DEAC’s NB I and II teams feature the best domestic players, the league is already a mix of different nationalities.
At DEAC, those who want to play chess are taught in three stages: there is a beginner, intermediate and advanced group. emphasize that this is primarily an individual sport, as the performance of a team, which usually consists of 12 people, is also made up of points earned individually.
– Kids start learning the sport at the best age of five, but chess is not age-dependent, it depends on the person at what age they start. We were the first in the country to publish a chess book for preschoolers we have been teaching ever since. In each sport, three people are responsible for performance, the child, the parent and the coach. If they do not work harmoniously together, there is no result. This is the Trinity, as I call it, which determines the acquisition of chess and its development, concluded Mihály Juhász.
The aim of the department is to promote competitive sports on the one hand, and personal development on the other. And the head of department answers the question of what kind of success they want to achieve at DEAC: no boundaries, no stops.
