Nébih withdrew contaminated goose fat
Budapest – The recalled chain is distributed by COOP, Penny and Spar, the measure affects several stores.
Goose fat is extracted from dioxin and dioxin-like toxic – PCBs – above the limit of the product manufacturer, the National Food Chain Safety Authority (Nébih) told MTI on Monday.

Hungaro-Fett 09 Kft. Withdrew and recalled some batches of the 200 gram Primfett, the 500 gram Karat and the 190 gram Grandfett goose fat products.
PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) are toxic, industrial products, with many applications banned in most cases. PCBs are found in small amounts in many foods, requiring a maximum PCB content in some foods.

Product recalls only apply to products with IDs on the authority’s website.
Nébih urges customers not to consume products with the listed credentials.
