In the summer, the number of visitors to Aqualand increased compared to the same period the year before. Exactly 386,400 people went there for the whole year.
In addition to pandemic restrictions, Aqualand has faced the same energy costs, which have risen in price by tens of millions a year. “Despite the fact that the year 2021 was especially in the environment of our global events, we served almost the same number of visitors as in 2020. The completion of the summer part of the area was crucial, which we expanded by a children’s water world in the form of a huge castle with four other children’s slides , “Said Aqualand director Petr Pavlacký.

Also last year due to the pandemic situation of declining attendance of Slovaks and Austrians. Use of residual heat
Last year’s forced closure was used in Aqualand to replace the floors in the air conditioning hall or, for example, for a complete replacement, which will allow the use of thermal heat. They also plan to further improve technology in order to reduce energy consumption and thus save on expensive energy. “We are already using the residual heat, with which we also heat the new toboggan tubes in the attraction hall. We will also complete a project for our own pool water treatment, which will contribute to cost savings and a friendly environment, “said Pavlacký.

Aqualand is currently preparing a new phase of expansion, the cost of which is expected to reach billions of crowns in the next three years. “The main addition will be a new unique hotel that will strengthen the capacity of our current Aqualand Inn. This is often completely sold out. From smaller investments, we plan to renovate the children’s indoor pool, which will bring new attractions. We will also continue to automate and increase the speed of check-in of visitors when entering or leaving the complex, “said Pavlacký.
The completion of the parking house is also planned. A novelty that will soon be in operation is a new modern photopoint in the indoor and summer part of the complex. It will allow you to take a photo of the toboggan ride not only on paper, but also be connected to social networks.
