The head of the forecast center “Meteo” Alexander Shuvalov warned the Russians about the weather “tsunami”, which will cover the Urals and the Volga region at the end of the week. About this on Tuesday, January 4th, writes URA.RU.
The specialist explained that phenomenally warm weather was observed on the territory of the European country in the first days of January, caused by the influx of air from the Azores. Now he is moving to the European territory of Russia.
“For example, in the morning of January 6 in Samara, Ufa, Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg minus 25-30 degrees is expected, and in the morning of January 7 in Ufa – zero, and in the afternoon in Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk – 0 plus one. January 9 in Yekaterinburg again minus 20 “, said Shuvalov and a similar situation will be observed on January 8 in Tyumen and Omsk.
According to Shuvalov, such sudden temperature changes are quite rare. The meteorologist added that in central Russia the weather “tsunami” will cause precipitation in the form of heavy snowfalls.
The temperature jump in Moscow, the forecaster noted, will be less noticeable: from minus 10-14 to 0-2 degrees Celsius on January 5 and 6.
Earlier, the head of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, promised Muscovites “absolutely warm weather” for the period of the January holidays.
