BASKETBALL: The BCL European Cup broadcast on LNB TV
A partnership is formalized this Monday, December 3 between the National Basketball League and the Basketball Champions League. The JDA Dijon play-in matches have already been announced.
Basketball Champions League coming to LNB TV
The National Basketball League (LNB) today announces the signing of a new partnership with the Basketball Champions League (BCL), thus offering subscribers of its OTT streaming platform “LNB TV” the possibility of viewing BCL matches for free, starting January 4th.
LNB TV aims to democratize the streaming of professional basketball matches in France. Launched last year to allow basketball fans to follow the entire Betclic ELITE and Pro B championships, the platform quickly gained a base of over 100,000 subscribers.
This new partnership with the BCL reinforces the LNB’s promise to make the professional basket ever more accessible to fans. LNB TV thus continues to develop its offer by broadcasting a prestigious international competition in which French clubs participate.
The fans follow all the matches of the French teams engaged in BCL (Strasbourg and Dijon this season), as well as an international poster per day and the entire Final 4. All these matches benefit from English commentaries and will be available live and in replay.
Schedule of the first BCL matches broadcast on LNB TV:
– Tuesday January 4 at 8:30 p.m .: DIJON vs RIGA
– Wednesday January 5 at 8:00 p.m .: STRASBOURG vs PAOK MATECO
– Wednesday January 5 at 8:00 p.m .: HAPOEL HOLON vs BESIKTAS
– Tuesday January 11 at 6:00 p.m .: RIGA vs DIJON
– Wednesday January 12 (time to be confirmed): PAOK MATECO vs STRASBOURG
Alain Béral, President of the LNB:
“Since its launch, LNB TV has aroused interest among basketball players in France and Europe. After a first season having proved the support of the fans to this mode of distribution, our ambition was to broadcast other basketball competitions. Today we are very happy to host the Basketball Champions League on LNB TV and to be able to offer English fans access to a continental competition. We believe that this collaboration strengthens the visibility and attractiveness of both the BCL and the LNB. “
Patrick Comninos, General Manager of the Basketball Champions League:
“We are very happy with the LNB, an important partner of the Basketball Champions League, to strengthen the dissemination and promotion of the matches of our competition to French fans. We share the ambition of the LNB to develop the visibility of the professional basket in France and are delighted to participate in the evolution of the LNB TV, a platform that has continued to grow since its launch. We are very happy to offer fans the opportunity to follow all the matches of SIG Strasbourg and JDA Dijon this season, two competitive clubs which have participated in the last two editions of the BCL Final Four ”.
