Violence disrupts today in Leipzig and Dresden

Police in the city of Leipzig are investigating for disturbances after the New Year’s Eve riots. On Saturday, about half an hour after midnight, there were reports of burning objects, police said. Hundreds of people had gathered in the east of the city. A group of cases to police and vehicles.

Meanwhile, the police in Dresden, also in the east, reported that a group of 50 to 100 people pelted the police in the city shortly before midnight. The rioters also targeted blockades on the street and set them on fire. One police vehicle was damaged, with bottles thrown at it all. When the police got reinforcements, the riots died down.
