Eintracht Frankfurt has the next new addition on the hook. A French international is expected to move to the Main in winter.
Frankfurt – Eintracht Frankfurt is the team of the hour in the Bundesliga and has been celebrating victory after victory in the last few weeks. From the table cellar, coach Oliver Glasner’s team worked their way up to sixth place. The winter break probably comes at the wrong time for the SGE, even if the dying players after intense weeks and months urgently need time to recharge and regenerate their batteries before the preparation for the second half of the season starts and an attack on the international places is to take place.
Markus Krösche, Sports Director at Eintracht Frankfurt, is already working hard on possible newcomers to the SBU, to further increase the quality in the squad and thus increase the chance of reaching one of the coveted European Cup places again. Rumors about dying eagles keep popping up, one thing seems to soon become a reality: Eintracht Frankfurt is said to be interested in Anthony Caci from Racing Strasbourg, as reported by the French sports portal Le 10 Sports.
Eintracht Frankfurt: French international on the approach
Anthony Caci is a flexible defender who is mostly used as a left-back. But he can also act as a right-back or center-back. The 24-year-old has played 17 games in the current Ligue 1 season and is an absolute regular and top performer in his club. Caci has shown in the last few months that he has plenty of development potential and thus market value potential. It would also fit exactly into the SGE’s loot scheme.
Eintracht Frankfurt: Anthony Caci in the summer before a free transfer
What makes the defender particularly interesting is the fact that his contract with Racing Strasbourg expires on June 30, 2022 and he would then be available for Eintracht Frankfurt free of charge. But there seems to be a chance to make the 24-year-old obligatory even in winter. Strasbourg could then at least achieve a small transfer. The transfer market will not open until the beginning of January, but the two clubs seem to have already regained contact regarding a transfer from Anthony Caci.
Caci’s strengths include his immense running workload, speed and fine technique. He also dares to dribble and has good timing in a duel. He has weaknesses in the offensive game. He’s not a defender who pulls to the baseline and flanks frequently. In addition, his goal risk is manageable.
Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt is on the verge of a transfer surprise: Faride Alidou is expected to join the SGE in winter. The transfer of the center forward is about to be completed. And Markus Krösche has another player in his sights. (smr)
