Covid19. Dijon, Beaune, Chenôve, Châtillon-sur-Seine … wearing a mask becomes compulsory in 12 municipalities of Côte-d’Or
This Thursday, the prefecture of Côte-d’Or announced, in a press release, new measures to deal with the acceleration of the epidemic circulation, linked in particular to the variant Omicron. They follow the significant deterioration of the health situation in the department.
Wearing a mask compulsory at all times from 11 years old in several cities of Côte-d’Or
From today, and until January 31, 2022, wearing a mask will be compulsory from 11 years old in the municipalities of Dijon, Beaune, Chenôve, Talant, Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur, Quetigny, Fontaine-lès-Dijon , Longvic, Auxonne, Saint-Apollinaire, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Châtillon-sur-Seine.
The exact boundaries for each municipality are visible on this map.
For all the other municipalities of Côte-d’Or, wearing a mask is compulsory from 11 years old in the following cases:
– On open-air markets, fairs, flea markets and unpacked sales;
– During any gathering (declared event, festivals, street performances) including these for access is subject to presentation of the health pass;
– Within a radius of 50 meters around places subject to the obligation to wear a mask;
– Within a radius of 50 meters around educational establishments at the time of arrival and departure of students
The consumption of alcohol on public roads is also prohibited throughout the department.
Specific measures from December 31 to January 2
From December 31 to January 2 inclusive, specific measures will also be put in place. The consumption and take-away sale of alcohol on public roads will be prohibited, as will gatherings of more than 50 people, or dance activities taking place in establishments open to the public (ERP) of type L (multipurpose rooms and party rooms). Finally, the closure of drinking establishments will be effective at 2 a.m.
In the event of violation of these measures:
– You risk a 4th class contraction (135 euros)
– In the event of a repeat offense within 15 days, a 5th class fine (1,500 euros)
– In the event of violation more than three times within 30 days, the penalty may be up to 6 months imprisonment and a fine of 3,750 euros, as well as an additional sentence of community service
