The World Cup flash shot has become street art in Copenhagen
It’s the anonymous artist « Densortemink »Which is behind the art of graffiti, writes the Danish newspaper BT.
– She gets the ball right in the face, and I think I can put it in connection with the situation we are all affected by now. Omikron has meant that many of us have to isolate ourselves at Christmas and cannot be with our families. It has ruined the Christmas mood, says the person behind the anonymous Instagram profile to BT.
The photographer is NTB’s Beate Oma Dahle. She has received tremendous response since the photo was taken six days ago. For the first 24 hours, there were inquiries from far and near at a high pace.
– It does not stand still yet. It’s quite extremesays Dahle to NTB.
– People call from all countries and want that picture, she adds.
The image has long been a “meme” on the Internet. Dahle is pleased that it has also become street art.
– He’s a very talented artist. It’s cool that someone finds inspiration from the picture, she says.
Dahle is himself a handball goalkeeper for Bækkelaget in the 2nd division, so a ball in the face is familiar material for the 26-year-old.
– Yes, I have had surgery on my nose because of such things, says Dahle.
All the response has received the last week, it is something that stands out.
– It’s fun with feedback from sports photographers and photo managers around Europe, she says.
Dahle combines bachelor’s studies at Oslo Met with photography for NTB.
