The crew of a police helicopter in Holyni, Prague, tracked down a missing senior woman
The 76-year-old senior from Prague’s Holyna was reported to the police on Thursday afternoon.
Police officers from the nearest available patrols, including MOP Barrandov, Department of Service Cynology, PMJ Prague, and SPJ Prague, set out for the scene.
In the evening, the police commander set out from the PMJ Prague and a Czech Air Force helicopter with a thermal imaging was called. Until then, of course, the places where the woman could be, including medical facilities, were inspected. Unfortunately, everything with a negative result.
The helicopter crew landed on the outskirts of Holyna, where a brief briefing was held with the other search units. At the same time, the City of Prague Emergency Medical Service Inspector was called to the scene in case the woman was found. The temperature was very close to zero.
The handler walked a wide area with a service dog, as well as police officers from several patrols and the SPJ Prague team searched the area.
The crew of the Czech Air Force helicopter then flew into the air, which flew over the Prague Ring Road and found the lady on the first flight towards Holyna. The helicopter crew therefore used a searchlight to illuminate the place where the woman was found to guide the remaining patrols. Police officers from MOP Barrandov, PMJ Prague, the handler and also the Traffic Inspector immediately went to the woman. She was in the middle of a field, alive and well, which would change during a cold night.
The police picked up the woman and brought her to a company car, which they then took to her place of residence. There, the crew of the RZP ZZS HMP was called in to examine the woman.
