The end of the bypass, the reconstruction of the terrace at the Budějovická metro station is complete
To move from the polyclinic to the metro or shops, it is no longer necessary to bypass the entire Budějovická or use escalators in the department store. Despite the reopened space near the Česká spořitelna building and the new stairs, the way down is significantly faster. And also safe, as described by Jan Chabr, a councilor for property, the United Forces for Prague: The critical supporting element was the staircase, which is completely new. ”
However, the workers will work on the terrace for some time to come, completing the already mentioned insulation on the edges of the space. However, these are partial works that do not prevent the opening of the entire terrace. Due to problems with the terrace, the municipality also closed the exit from the metro closer to the polyclinic building. He is basically ready, the Transport Company is still installing the necessary technological elements there. I expect it to be open again by Christmas.
Other changes Budějovická
The plan is to modify the entire territory of Budějovická, the municipality is dealing with the details of a special commission. The city assumes that a complex of apartments and offices could be built there. It will depend on how Česká spořitelna, which wants to move its offices elsewhere, manages its building. This is all a matter of the coming years, but the City Hall of Prague 4 would like to address and cultivate the lower space between the exits from the metro as soon as possible.
“We plan to revitalize the green areas next year, because that’s probably the scariest part of the area. And we would also like to repair the tiles where they are loose, because it is especially dangerous during the winter, “says Deputy Mayor Michal Hroza from TOP 09. At the same time, Prague 4 is of course part of the commission, which has to deal with the future major modification of Budějovická.
